Tech Chocolate
Can anyone help me with my food tech homework?
i need to make shortbread which has chocolate in it &+ i need to make it simple because i'm only 13 & i don't want to mess up.
can i make chocolate shortbread?
does it taste nice?
also... any ideas how i can design it??

If you add big chunks of a cut up dark (or milk) chocolate candy bar and add it to the cookie dough, you'll have shortbread cookies with chocolate chunks in it. YUMMY!
These could be "drop" cookies: cookies that you scoop out with a spoon and place (or drop) onto the cookie sheet.
There is a recipe to add unsweetened cocoa powder to the flour before you mix it with the other ingredients but I don't recall what it is right now. Personally, I'd rather eat a cookie with big pieces of chocolate in it than a cocoa flavored cookie but that's me...the CHOCOLATE NUT!
Did you know that Brownies were created by a cook "messing up" a chocolate cake recipe? Sometimes NICE, delicious mistakes happen in the kitchen. Been there, done that!

** I once made delicious cookies by adding pieces of a candy bar (dark chocolate) that had bits of fruit in it. There are all sorts of "gourmet" candy bars on the market that have fruit in them or bits of nuts or pieces of hard toffee in them (like HEATHBAR) that would be great in your shortbread cookies. Experiment!
