How long does it take to get over a sore throat?
My throat has been sore since last night. How long does it take to get over a sore throat? Keep in mind that I feel PERFECT except for that my throat is sore- I have no fever, head ache, etc. There's swelling / redness / puss on the sides of my throat.
I've been gargling with salt water, eating ice pops, and ate some soup. I'm also taking it real easy- no exercising, working, etc. If I continue to take care of myself this way, and the only thing wrong is that my throat is sore (no headache, fever, not tired or achy, etc.), how long should it take for me to be better? After being better, when can I return to exercising and going out?
Also, what else can I do to speed my recovery?
Please help! I took my vacation this week and my sister and I's birthdays are also this week as well- I'd hate to be sick during my vacation!
