How allievate frozen shoulder pain?
My mother developed a frozen shoulder and pain - does not anyone have any tips on what can be done to help reduce pain. He has given some tablets (which I think inflammatries) by a physician, but the pain is really getting to the bottom. Most sites I googled seem just try and sell a product or service.
Your Mother has been my most sincere sympathy. Frozen shoulder is certainly frustrating and painful problem. I have been through with both my shoulders - not much fun - but they are back to normal now. The anti-inflammatory drugs are common treatments. They may or may not help your mother - I hope they do. Treatment usually involves physical therapy and exercises to keep the shoulder mobile and flexible. Although it can be very painful to move the joints, is very important to continue to move together so that problems do not become worse. If your mother can go to the physical therapist, then he will be able to get personal advice on stretching, bending, and pushing the shoulder joint through range of motion. This is no doubt painful when starting, but continued to use the exercise will make it easier. Frozen shoulder can sometimes resolve themselves spontaneously - but it can not happen for a year or more, which is the time a long time to wait in pain.
