Is it safe for diabetics to get tattoos?
Yes. My man has 5 tats and is an insulin dependant diabetic. Dabetics do need to be extra careful about infection as healing time can be proloned and the feet are off limits for any tattooing due to neuropathy, and an already increases risk of foot ulceration.Go to a reputable tattoist and be sure to use an antibiotic ointment until the wound is completely healed,avoid the feet as well as any bony prominences (base of spine,shoulder blades)Piercing should be avoided as the average person has trouble with healing at times.
