Reliv Classic
Reliv Classic

is the product Reliv ok to give to dogs?
i have my golden retriever and its reliv classic
I own a health and nutrition business and have taught fitness. I also use Reliv supplements.
Reliv distributors generally connect people to health results testimonies to help people, but Reliv discourages animal testimonies. Therefore, it can be difficult to find out about animals. That said, last year, I had a cat that became ill with a type of pancreatitis that is considered always fatal, according to our vet, and the vet encouraged us to put him down, since he had already lost over half his body weight, he was hardly moving, and his skin was yellow. I started researching among other Reliv distributors to see if anyone gave Reliv to their animals and found that nearly everybody did! LOL They gave it to their dogs, their cats, their horses - you name it! So I mixed Reliv Classic with the wet cat food and force fed it to the cat four times a day for three months, until he began eating on his own again. Today, of our eight cats, he is the biggest and most energetic.
The gentleman who developed Reliv Classic originally did his research on regeneration of cells when studying an outbreak of bovine mastitis in South America, so his original research was on cattle. After that followed the 10 year study and over 850 formulations to discover the perfect balance of nutrients to cause healthy human cells to regenerate. There are no health warnings whatsoever on the Reliv cans because they are so safe for humans. You could talk to Reliv International to Connie or Dr. Hastings at Reliv to make sure it is safe for your dog, but from the number of people I have talked to who give it to their dogs already, I suspect that you will find that there is nothing wrong with it.

By the way, Dances With Woofs brings up an excellent point. A full scoop of Classic is used with an adult human body. Depending on the size of your dog, if you decide to use this you may want to size that down. When we gave it to our cat, I gave him about 1/8 of a scoop of Classic, along with a little Innergize so as to increase absorbtion of the nutrients. I even gave him some FibRestore for awhile, because of the soluable and insoluable fibers and other ingredients that I felt were necessary to help his system. Whatever it was, even though Reliv doesn't recommend this to animals, it worked for him! He's gone from 9 pound skinny and almost dead (big framed, big boned cat!) back to a very healthy and energetic 19 pounds!
