Can anyone recommend a good midge bite reliever?

I am off to the west of Scotland and the midges love me. I always take a terrible reaction to them, even though I take an antihistamine tablet every day (loratadine).
Can anyone recommend a good product for offering relief?
I use Avon Skin So Soft as a deterrent.
