How can i gain weight plus muscle without protein shakes.?
I started back working out to get ready for the military. I'm going to enventually get some protein mix but can I substitute something for it in the meanwhile. I'm a slim athletic guy so I can bulk up quick with something like this. Please don't say something stupid like steroids or something.
I found eggs combined with compound exercises such as squats and dead lifts gave me the best results. Infrequent training schedule with a protein rich diet.
Bare in mind that gaining too much weight will not help you in the military due to the large amount of endurance work you do.
Get plenty of rest and if you don't mind putting on a bit of fat, then increase your carbohydrate intake with each meal.
You rep range should not exceed 6-12 and your sets should be as heavy as possible without sacrificing proper form.
Looking into HIT training would be another option.
