Which one is the better PC?
Which one is the better Bargain? (PC)?
I'm deciding whether to buy:
1)Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz, 9GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, NVIDIA GT220, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition
2)Intel Core i7 860 2.8GHz, 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, ATI Radeon HD4670, Liquid Cooling, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition
Both for 999$
Well....The Intel Core i7 860 is a ripoff (its good, just not worth it) and it is on a yucky Intel socket/chipset (Intel LGA 1156 has very little graphics and memory bandwidth).
However, the second one is overall better as its graphics are far superior plus a bigger hard drive (if you need it). I am not exactly sold on liquid cooling from a OEM.
I would not get it if it was from HP. Had nothing but trouble from their "higher end" systems. Failing parts off the wall. I have NEVER had anything fail on me before HP.
Dell's parts are actually not that bad. IBM, Acer not terrible either.
See if you can get someone to build one for you. You'll get a very nice upgradeable PC with exactly what you need, with even better performance.
Otherwise, if you were to pick one of those, I suppose the 2nd one would be the pick.
