Potent Amino
Synthesized, or real amino acids suppliments in places like "the vitamin shoppe" ,are they potent?
I know that synthesized vitamin E. Does nothing for the body, because it basically just tricks the body into thinking it has vitamin E, so it is worse than no Vitamin E at all. But are amino acids synthesized, and if so are they good for the body? Does any one take amino acids?
How do you think 'real' amino acids are made? (Answer: they are synthesized by the body or by the bodies of animals you consume.) There's no difference in an amino acid--they're fairly simple molecules--whether you make it in a lab or in a chicken or in a human.
I don't know how you 'know' that about vitamin E, because what you said didn't make any sense. Vitamins are a little more complicated molecules than amino acids, so there are different forms of them, and there are a number of different molecules that all go under the general name "vitamin E". The main difference is in the absorption level, but all of them will more or less do the same job. It's a pretty prevalent vitamin in natural foods, so I don't know whether or not they usually synthesize it when they make pills, but if you don't want to take it in pill form, by all means eat lots of nuts, seeds and vegetable oils and you'll get all you need.
The main advantage to taking amino acid supplements, in any case, barring certain very rare genetic deficiency disorders, is to establishments like The Vitamin Shoppe. In other words, they get your money for expensive pills that you don't need.
