I see Resveratrol is now up for purchase in stores, I saw a segment on TV about this...?
I heard about Resveratrol on TV (60 minutes?) and now noticed you could buy 500mg tablets in stores. It said on TV that it could help you live longer, fight many diseases etc...
Is this the same stuff? Is this the same potency? Should I buy this? Should I stock up and buy it for my whole family?
I just need some general info about what is available in stores and if it is like what was on TV

Resveratrol is Resveratrol. As long as the company selling it has good quality. There are many higher quality companies out there that are readily available and well priced... just make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide).
Unfortunately, there are too many people and companies are using fad products like Resveratrol and some of the super fruits, so there are people that think it's a scam because of these people... but it is a real nutrient that is very beneficial and is a fantastic antioxidant, not to mention that it's the same nutrient that gives red wine its heart benefits.
