8 week old puppy with pneumonia may be deaf. Help?
I have an 8 week old pup who i adopted a week ago and it has been ill since then with kennel cough that turned out to be pneumonia, for about four days now she has been on tons of antibiotics, parasite killers, and god knows what else from our vet. I think that she may be deaf though, which, after reading articles online, could mean she has less chance of pulling through. Does anyone have any insight into holistic remedies for pneumonia? She just hasn't changed with the antibiotics, and I want to cover all my options. She is extremely lathargic, has diarhea, and I have to force feed her Nutrical every hour. But I refuse to give up!
just keep doing what you are doing. make sure the pup doesn't get near a draft. make sure she gets lots of water, NO MILK. milk causes flem. and let her know you love her. had a friend with a deaf cat. when cat was outside and they wanted him in they would flash the outside light on and off. they also used hand signals.
