In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half the lake?
Hi,
Because the lily pad area doubles each day and was 100% covering the pond on day 48, then on day 47 it was omnly half as much. that's the 50% coverage you were looking for.
