Another "category" -- VENT??
Would it be nice to sift out all the venting, & focus on the sincere? Humour is great, too. I rather doubt choice of VENT would make a difference; such a fantasy! I'm intrigued by Q&A as an infinite resource into sociology, clearly including the disparity in VENT questions & answers. So, strike tnat question. I'd appreciate answers/opinions on this one: People are often critized for their spelling, grammar etc. Consider--there are different levels of education, & maturity. This doesn't preclude their "expression" from being valid. What I've found amusing, is the people who "puff" about their intelligence, & their spelling & grammar is less than optimal. I don't think grammar & spelling errors NECESSARILY invalidate. It DEPENDS on content. My expectations were, to NOT see this "forum" as a game playing GOTCHA with nonsense, (& often acceptably obscene nuances), but that's the insght I'm getting. I'd appreciate your feelings, & will sift whatvever...without emotion.

I appreciate people with different lexical and grammatical abilities and feel that the focus on "poor" language is not a good thing for this site.
As long as people can express what they want in a way they are familiar with it is up to others to understand.
The differences between uses of the English language and grammar across the world are great but that is partly why it is spoken so widely (That and imperialist expansion/domination of course!)

I wish I always used spellcheck too, but I don't and I often hit the ; key instead of ' ......don;t I ?
We all have something to contribute and should be able to participate as we can. I of course agree that clearer use of language etc is helpful but I think it is a bit cruel to have nothing to else to answer with.
I welcome and encourage anyone who wants to ask a question to do so in whatever way they can !
