Turmeric & Olive leaf extract for acne questions...?
I was told to take Turmeric capsules for acne. I moved to a dry climate and have been breaking out TERRIBLE ever since. Also, I heard olive leaf extract can really make a difference. Which is better? Can they be taken together??
Try the olive leaf extract capsules because these have known antimicrobial properties and bacteria have a part-causative role in acne formation.
Make sure you thoroughly cleanse your skin daily...preferably with a face wash that has some antibacterial properties. But don't overdo it, don't over-dry your skin as a hot dry climate also dries the skin. A mud [clay] face mask once a week might help as a deep cleanse. A little witch-hazel after cleansing might help calm down redness [inflammation]. A little aloe vera gel after cleansing might help with general soreness and some moisture retention.
