Can you combine paracetamol with naproxen sodium safely?
For short term, paracetamol and naproxen can be used simutaneosuly. This is often done. Infact in cases of fever it is often recommended to alternate the NSAID medications like ibuprofen or naproxen with paracetamol for better coverage. However, this is not adviseable for a long term pain issue. If you need to take the medication for additional support for one to two days it should be no problem. They are different classes of medications and would have no more affect on your liver or kidneys than if you took any other two medications metabolised by the liver and excreted by the kidneys which is commonly done.
In fact it is more adviseable to take the recommended doses of the two than to take too much of either one.
