is my necklace cursed? NEED HELP!?
got it at a vodoo shop in new orleans its a broken mirror 2 skeletons with wings on each side of the mirror the clasp that held the pendant has a 7 on it but it broke so i put a regular circle to put it back on it also has the word INFORTUNIUM on the bottom of the mirror a friend told me it meant-bad luck, misfortune, and punishment in latin the woman at the shop said it was from Italy NEED HELP! its been nothing but bad even my girlfriend that bought it for me cheated and left
I do not know what it means but objects have power because it was given to them as such. This isn't the first time someone buys something from new orleans and makes such a claim. As a matter of fact im staring at an athame of mine I have on the wall.
The athame was a previously used tool, used for goddess-only-knows-what, and it was purchased by my friends brother, He gave it to her because he was having bad luck and he never believed in such things but he said that it was causing problems. She didn't want it so she brought it to me since it's more my style.
I got it cleansed it and my life has been improving. Im not saying that it's improving because of waht I did, but im saying that the thing had no effect on my life.
I'm going to assume that you do not have all the wonderuful items that I have at my use. So i'll give you the same ritual that I gave another person because it seems that you want to keep the item.
Gather in dishes or whatever some soil, a red candle, water and a cleansing incense. (sage from the kitchen is good enough)
assemble soil to north, candle to south, water to west and incense to east. Set the item in the center, light the candle and touch the item with one finger and say "I cast out all previous energies and entities from this item out into the universe where it will be transmuted with love"
then pick up the item and touch each of the elements with it. Just a grain of soil and a little water will do the trick, (its all it takes otherwise you will damage the item).
As you pass it by each one say "I cleanse and bless you with (fire water earth, air)"
when you are done leave it in the middle and let the candle burn down and you're done.
If you want to get rid of the item then toss it in a trash can and say "you and your negativity is no longer welcomed in this home"
then cleanse your home with sage. Want to go the extra mile then add some chamomile tea bags to really warm water and bath in it.
