what do you know about micro dermal piercings?
i want to get the dimples on my lower back pierced micro dermal style, one anchor in each. but what do you know about it? im pretty sure it hurts like hell but do they get infected easily?

Don't know a whole lot about them, I do know they seem to reject less often than surface piercings, and are less invasive than full size transdermals. The supposedly heal faster than both as well, although there's still some people that have trouble with it never fully healing. It's riskier since there's no drainage like there is on a piercing through a small area with 2 exits, so infection is a greater concern.
One argument against them is the fact that they are so easy to insert, meaning a less talented piercer that has no business trying implants or other tricky mods may feel comfortable doing microdermals. When you're making a skin pocket for a permanent implant no matter how small, you want someone that really knows what they're doing.
Personally I think the future of microdermals looks good, as techniques improve I expect surface piercings will slowly lose favor to them for quick healing. I think they're already more popular than transdermals since they are easier to insert and remove.
