Methoxy Isoflavone
Is 5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone the same as 5-Methoxy-7-Isoflavone ?
These are two chemical compounds that are being sold in nutritional support for body builders and I think they are the same product but just written in a different way. I just need this confirmed. Thanks.
Fraid not, the methyl and the methoxy are different chemical groups and the 5 and 7 describes the position on the molecule of the respective groups. So the fact that the methoxy is on the 5 position and then on the 7 position leaves them that they are different sorry. You may find that they still do the same job/ have the same effect, if that helps
