The enzyme lactase Lab Help?
I do a laboratory test designed in biology and i am having some difficulty. I tested the reaction rate of lactase break down the lactose in the three types of milk (skim, 2%, and intact). I'm using benedict solution to show the prescence of monosaccarides. I did all that and put milk was mixed with enzyme solution in a test tube into a glass of hot water and given a few drops of indicator (bendicts). Nothing happens? Why? How long should I incubate for i? And how can the data to isolate a variant of the milk and can make some conclusions with?
