Am I taking too many supplements?
I am currently taking
Centrum Multi-Vitamin
Vitamin E
Vitamin C
St. John's Wort
MSM
Kyolic(Garlic Supplement)
Aojiru Drink(Barley & Kale powdered drink)
Fish Oil
Saw Palmetto
I also occasionally take Hydroxycut. Should I be cutting back? Should I add anything else? Is any of these combo bad? Am I wasting too much money? Ppl tell me all I need is multi, but I know I'm deficient in some areas that multi wouldn't take care of. I'm thinking about adding Vitamin D to this list.
I also take Melatonin for falling asleep @ night.
Most of it is OK, except melatonin. Your body produces it. If you take it on your own, then your body will stop producing it. Ever heard of the saying "USE IT OR LOOSE IT"? Vitamin C and other vitamins we mostly do not produce, but melatonin - best to leave it up to your body. IF you have trouble falling asleep, then spend some time sitting in a dimly lit room - that makes your pineal gland produce melatonin.
