Can I pierce my lip with this jewelery initially?

Looks like this when in lip:
It's made of titanium and I am not allergic to any kind of metal. I'm not prone to swelling when I get pierced but then again, you never know what kind of bacteria can get in. I know about cleaning habits etc. so I will do my best to keep the swelling down if it occurs.
Can I ask the piercer to put that jewelery in when they first pierce me?
most piercers don't like outside jewelry being brought into their shop, its better to have a look and see what kinda of jewelry options they have for a labret, other than that they'll start you out with the basic jewelry and then after its healed you can change the jewelry to whatever you want
