Institute Passion
Too much work,or better route?
I want to attend MICA: Maryland Institute College of Art for illustration and animation. But I also have a passion for science and would to attend James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland with a masters in bioengineering. Think its possible to attend both at the same time,or one at a time? After college I plan on looking for a job and moving out of state or country.
Choose one and go to one. Trying to go to both is like trying to have your cake and eating it too. In reality you will be stretching yourself thing, and won't have enough time to devote to either degree. Even if you did manage to finish both degrees (which would not be in 4 years, most likely in 6 or 7) an employer would be more turned off than anything. They want someone who knows what their doing in a specific area, not someone who has a shallow knowledge of two unrelated areas. In addition, think of the costs.
College is about making decisions, and one of those decisions is deciding what career you are heading towards. Plenty of people could see themselves as both doctors and lawyers, but I doubt you see them going into Harvard Med and Harvard Law at the same time...
