How can I make myself feel better,quickly?
Hi,I recently lost a close family member (6 months ago),and since have found myself on a bit of a downward spiral.
I have suffered from depression in the past and got myself through it.But this time I have a lot of physical manifestations.I have been having heart palpitations brought on by anxiety,and generally feel incredibly sluggish and just plain unhealthy.
I have been to the docs and had all sorts of tests which all came back clear,so now she too is under the impression that it is grief and it will just take time to get over it.
So,my question is,there is no magic pill to make me feel better immediately,but does anyone have any methods to lift my mood,make me feel less ill?Like a tonic etc?
Medication is not an option.
Your basic problem is loosing someone, to get better you must start from it. Accept that the person had to leave you, but you are still alive, you have to continue your life.
Medicine only improve for a short time.
How about talking about your grief to someone or some people that know both of you. Share it with understanding people.
Accept the grief and the lost those are in you right now. Let them be. Don't deny them. Live with the depression by let it be. Nothing lasts forever. It will go. It will flow. You'll be ok again. Just be patience. Good luck.
