Low carb diet with high protein? Weightlifting and cardio exercises. I want to go down town! Cutting phase.?

Hello all. I have a question to go on a diet a lower intake of carbohydrates and protein increases / good fats. More like a% carb/50% protein/20% fat breakdown 30. I aim to lose 1.5 - 2 pounds per week with a deficit of 800-1000 calories per day. I also take GNC Megaman Sport and also about 5g glutamine. Is this the type of food to minimize muscle loss during the "cutting phase" (Lose fat)? Or the inevitable loss of muscle? If it is, is there a better way to bottom while keeping muscle tone is? I am thinking of switching to this diet / exercise for one month and will return to normal diet with intense exercise. I would also increase the intake of glutamine to 10-13gs during the cutting phase.
