Should I continue taking Ginkgo Biloba with Neurontin?

Came across this today on drugdigest.org:

"Ginkgo contains chemicals that may cause seizures. The potentially harmful chemicals are most concentrated in ginkgo seeds; therefore, gingko seeds should never be consumed. However, reports of seizures have been associated with taking products made from ginkgo leaf, as well. If ginkgo is used at the same time as gabapentin, a drug frequently used to control seizures, the drug may not work as well as expected, and seizures may occur. Ginkgo should not be used while gabapentin is taken. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems."

However, after taking both for roughly a week I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever, so should I continue to take it or does it take a while for the problems caused by interactions to come up?

Most ginkgo products are made from the leaf - however, I would be leary of taking them together...

A week of taking a supplement in most cases would not be enough time for any detrimental effects to occur - however, considering the potential dangers of interactions, especially reducing the efficacy of a seizure medication, I would not suggest taking them together. Lets face it, seizures suck, especially considering the danger of hitting your head, having a brain injury from a simple fall, and life never being the same again - shoot, people slip and fall in the tub, then die, quite frequently. Wouldn't want ya to increase those chances.
