Foot Tub
I painted claw foot tub, yes painted white inside and out. how do I delete this?
I'm not sure if a simple paint remover would be ok .....
I'm an interior decorator and I've run into this before. It really depends on what the surface of the tub is made of (porcelain, cast iron & enamel, fiberglass, etc. ..) and type of paint used. If the wall paint is used you can using a heat gun to strip paint off, or you can buy a chemical stripper. CAUTION: If you are like a replica, both medthods will damage the fiberglass or plastic tub. If tub professionally painted with good quality oil-based epoxy, and if the paint is still in good condition (not peeling or flaking) you can have it painted any color you like. If so, the tub is plastic or fiberglass, and paint is in good condition, I hate to say this, but the easiest thing to do would be to rip out the tub and replace it.
