can we extract energy from a falling stone having mass 1 kg?
i want to ask what type of energy can we extract from a falling stone
Yes definitely you can but from viewpoint of physics it is of no use. Because energy which you will get by making it fall from height would be actually yours own energy which you have lost by taking that stone to that height.
Energy which you will extract to make it falling is Kinetic energy K.E
Energy required to take stone to height is potential energy is P.E
In actuallity this K.E=P.E = mass*g*height
= 9.8*height Joule of energy.
This can be easily proved by mathemathical calculation.
Thus energy which you extract is energy you give.
In practice energy you get is much less than energy you give, because of loss of energy in various ways.
