Why does my daughter still have ear infections after tubs?

My daughter got tubs in her ears last May and in the past two months she has already had 5 ear infections. I brought her back to the ENT and the doctor said that the tubs are still in and are doing there job by draining. So both the ENT and my daughters Dr have just been giving her antibiotics and ear drops every time I bring her in. I just want them to stop getting infected! I don't get her ears wet when I was her hair so I dont know what else to do. As a matter of fact she has another ear infection now and I have to bring her Monday. Does anyone know why this is happening all the time?

My 5 yo daughter had tubes put in her ears 2 yrs ago and she still gets infections. The doctors told me the tubes don't stop the infections, but they help with draining so they don't get worse and affect her speech and hearing. Have them check her sinuses. When sinuses get full they back up in the ears. She could be having trouble with sinuses and it's leading to ear infections. Happens to my daughter and me. Or allergies.
If they say sinuses are fine and no allergies, then I'd take her to another ENT. They need to try a different antibiotic if the one they are giving her isn't working to keep the infection gone. Since her ears are draining, it has to be another area causing the problems. Check it out to be sure. Been there too many times, myself and with my 5 yo, I really understand your frustration. I have 3 children.
