i just recentally had some problems w/ my bowels and had to go the er like 3 times and have had all kinds of enemas and had to drink that stuff that cleans your whole system out blah it was so gross my husband has been there threw the whole thing and he thinks that snice my bowels and rectal area are finnally cleaned out that i should use a douche in case it needs cleanong to but i have never used one and was wondering if any one thought i should or could tell me what they are like thanks
The whole thing is preposterous! There is NO connection between your bowels and your reproductive system and therefore you have NO need to cleanse your vaginal passage due to whatever went on with your intestines!!
Furthermore, vaginal douching is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE for you!! At best, you'll probably end up with an overly dry vagina which can lead to irritation and vaginal tearing during intercourse and at worst you can end up with infections....not least of which is yeast.
And if you already have an infection that you're either trying to get rid of or are unaware of, you can force the bacteria into your uterus from the jetting action of the water, and cause a life-threatening condition called PID!
Unless you have been directly instructed by your DOCTOR to douche, then you never ever should. There is nothing good in the practice. Your vagina is completely self-cleansing and it is absolutely UNNECESSARY to do it.
