What country's doctors are the best in the world?
I know that my question is a little overgeneralization, but I still want to know the answer. Thank you.
Hard to say. France seems to be pretty far ahead when it comes to experimental medicine, but it's impossible to really quantify which country has the 'best' doctors. American hospitals tend to be amongst the richest and have an advantage in accessing new technology, but whether they have the best doctors... I don't know. They do tend to attract foreign doctors because of better-paying positions, due to their privatized health care. Problem is that it's difficult for Americans to access these doctors if they don't have health insurance, which is something one might consider factoring in when considering which country boasts the best doctors.
Generally, most westernized countries tend to have a very high standard of care for patients, which breeds better doctors and nurses. The US, Canada, Australia, the UK and other western European countries tend to be amongst the best on the planet, at least in terms of the quality of care. You have to consider more than just the skill of the doctors when comparing various medical systems, however -- whether the system is private or public, the availability of funding, population, which procedures are covered, wait times, etc. all factor in as well.
