Do diet buddies/support communities work?
I found this community on LiveJournal called Banana Rock (www.livejournal.com/~banana_rock) that sounds like a good idea - a community that supports each other to lose weight, boost their confidence & self esteem etc.
My question is... has anyone tried something like this before? Like diet buddies, etc? If so, did it work?
I have tried it and yes, it makes a world of difference. I would suggest support groups online, because it gives you more "buddies". What I mean is that if you have like your best friend to buddy up with, she/he may fall off and you lose your support. Theres plenty of people constantly online in those groups, so you have consistant support.
