INFO ON Methadone.ANY NEEDED.For how long Methadone is used for detoxification from opiate drug addiction?
Hi, I've just started on the methadone program for Opiate addiction to drugs. I know a little about methadone, I want to know what dose people take and for what? also how long it used to? I've heard many people say they have been on it for years and I find that quite disappointing, it seemed like I traded one addiction for another! I also wish know that the success rate for leaving the patient free of all long-term medication? If anyone has ANY useful information about Methadone treatment i would really appreciate it. I do not know anyone personally who has been through a methadone program that would be great to hear anything from people who have had direct experience with Methadone. I feel about out of my depth here and need some advice! Thanks in advance.
When methadone is used to detoxify addicts from addiction to opiates depends on two things, one particular opiate addiction, and addiction severity meaning how often they use, and how much they use.
