How do you store garlic?
I just bought a whole garlic for a few recipes, I'm trying and I really do not know much about how to care for before I eat it. Anyone?
How Not Important Garlic Store: Never store raw garlic in oil - this can lead to botulism and possible death. See the warning page for more information. Head of Garlic and clove should also be not stored in your kitchen refrigerator. If garlic refridgerated then it is likely to go soft and moldy. The same problem is likely to occur if garlic is stored in the container sealed plastic. How to Store Garlic Garlic should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Garlic also needs to "breathe" and allow proper air circulation will extend shelf. A great way to store garlic is a special garlic keeper. It is designed with holes to allow air to circulate and also have the advantage to see the good in the kitchen. Personally I use the small one which can store about three light bulbs. I do not hold more than was at one time. Some people like to keep their garlic with freezing it. Personally I have never seen the point when fresh garlic is available for purchase so easy. If the garlic begins to grow or go soft then it is past prime. Throw it out.
