Is Green Tea Fat Burner caspsules safe to use?
I bought the bottle of pills from walmart a week ago but have not began using them yet. I exercise daily but I am trying to lose my belly fat with no luck. So I bought these pills thinking they might help. It says it has 400 mg of EGCG is that good? I have heard from some people its good and others said its too much for a daily use. Please let me know.
It's probably safe, though I can't say it will work: targeted weight loss is tough, and green tea is best for "slight to moderate obesity" according to the University of Maryland's green tea page. It's got references to all the studies if you're an insomniac 
EGCG is an antioxidant in green tea, one of the catechins thought to promote weight loss. However, the its fat-burning is thought to work along with the caffeine. If the pills lack the caffeine, they may not work as well.
I always recommend (along with lots of exercise and a change to a more natural diet) drinking brewed green tea-- it fills you up, hydrates you, and has ALL the substances in green tea that promote health, not just one or two as an extract.
