It sounds as if you want to be paid for getting experience in what you may down the track use to develop your own business. "Employment" is going to be difficult as many ventures are small scale. I suggest that you approach an employment agency. tell them you are interested in a horticultural apprenticeship and see what they can do. Another suggestion is to find organic growers talk to them and ask about seasonal work (its often hard work picking/pruning etc) but this will get a foot in the door and may open other employment opportunities. Finally consider volunteering some places really need a helping hand but cant afford to pay someone- this will again get a foot in the door but may also give you more exposure to the operational side and its valuable experience that may get a job somewhere else. If yu are prepared to travel (on the cheap) there is a system of "Host" farms (or something like that) where the owner cant afford paid employees but they provide accomodation, food, transport in return for what is usually 3 days work per week they are there. I have heard of people travelling around the worls staying sometime for months at places just to gather up experience and innovative ideas to take back home.
