Any naturopaths who can help me with this?
I have just come off yasmin birth control after 3 years. I've been off for about 3 or 4 weeks and have felt fine until 3 nights ago, when i started having horrible insomnia where i just can't fall asleep and when i do around 4 or 5 i keep waking up. I am also having hot flashes at night. i havent had a period since coming off the pill. I have been reading up on it and apparently my insomnia/hot flashes may be caused my a lack of estrogen and therefor lack of magnesium absorption in my body which is important for sleep and relaxation. I also have constant muscle twitches in my legs. Is there ANYTHING i can do or take to help with my body to become normal again? I have heard of the herb vitex or magnesium supplements, any idea? I havent slept well in 3 days and need to be awake enough for finals in 2 weeks. Is there any type of natural sleep aid that works? I am sooo exhausted but have soo much trouble falling and staying asleep. Thanks to anyone who throws in their 2 cents.
